MIDI interface, from Yamaha Clavinova to MacBook

i am currently exploring the option of importing, via a MIDI interface cable (?), songs that i play on the Yamaha Clavinova keyboard (my preferred method of "song input") into the computer. this should be fun. also, it's a great way to get the kids more into music, as they think a lot of the synth sounds on garage band sound really cool... we'll see how it goes. and i'll let you all know how to do it, once i figure it out.
